This inn is a charming spot right at the foot of Mt. Rainier, boasting clean rooms and a fantastic porch view. I loved the peaceful atmosphere and the ability to enjoy a glass of wine with a stunning backdrop. However, the dining could use improvements in both quality and variety, especially for breakfast and dinner, which fell short considering the price.

Rooms

The room was small but very clean, with a seemingly newly renovated bathroom. It felt similar to rooms I’ve seen at Paradise Lodge, and I appreciated the comfortable bed and two huge natural fireplaces.
Service

The service was good, with friendly staff, though they seemed a bit rushed during our meal times. I really appreciated the quirky charm of the team.
Location

The location is fantastic, just a short drive to Paradise, making it convenient for accessing the beautiful trails. It’s a great retreat, removed from the distractions of daily life.
Dining
5.0
The dining was decent, but I expected more from the meals based on the pricing. The breakfast options could be expanded, and dinner left a bit to be desired in terms of freshness and flavor.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities were standard but cozy, with a beautiful fireplace downstairs that added a lovely touch to the inn’s ambiance.

Overall, I had a mixed experience at this inn. The location was stunning, with breathtaking views of Mt. Rainier, and the service was warm and accommodating. However, I faced some significant challenges regarding accessibility for my elderly mother-in-law, as all rooms were located upstairs with no elevator. Additionally, the dining experience left much to be desired, with both dinner and breakfast not living up to our expectations.

The rooms were basic but clean, though I found it concerning that they were all upstairs without elevators, which posed a challenge for my elderly mother-in-law.

The inn's location is absolutely spectacular, right at the foot of Mt. Rainier, making it a perfect base for exploring the area.
Dining

Unfortunately, the dining experience fell short. Both dinner and breakfast were overpriced considering the quality, which was not up to par with expectations.

While the facilities are adequate, the lack of accessibility features such as rooms on the ground floor or elevators was a significant drawback.

The hotel is a nice option for exploring the park, with cozy rooms and a lovely dining experience. However, the limited menu and higher prices might not make it the best value for everyone. The stunning mountain views from the property and the peace of the snow-covered scenery definitely make up for a few of its shortcomings.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms were quaint and clean, featuring charming period design and comfortable beds. However, the shower was a bit cramped.
Service

The staff was welcoming and added a personal touch to our experience, helping create a cozy atmosphere.
Location

Being inside the park gave us easy access to beautiful trails and views, although the parking can get crowded quickly.
Dining

The diner had delicious comfort food, especially the pot roast and breakfast omelette, but the menu could use more variety.
Facilities

The common area by the fireplace was a great spot to unwind after a day outdoors, with seating that invites guests to relax.

I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere away from the crowds of nearby Paradise Inn. The rooms, though simple and spartan, met my needs for a comfortable night after a long drive. Dining was decent but could improve with a more varied menu. Overall, I appreciated the location but felt some areas could be streamlined for better guest experience.

Rooms

The rooms were simple and clean, with no microwave or fridge, but comfortable enough for our stay.

The location was great for accessing the park, providing a quiet retreat from the busy Paradise area.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was average with decent food, but I felt it could use more variety.
Facilities

The facilities were basic. There was a nice area for tea and scones for guests, but I had hoped for additional amenities or snacks.

My stay at the National Park Lodge was an unforgettable experience surrounded by the natural beauty of Mt. Rainier. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The dining options were a highlight, but one visit felt lacking in quality. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for nature lovers looking for a cozy retreat, while just a few dining hiccups kept it from perfection.
